for improvement of health

Essenaromatherapytial oils derived from plants are used in massage, baths, compresses, inhalations, and vaporised to enable them to enter into the body, for improvement of health. Aromatherapy has its roots in the most ancient hMassageealing practices of humankind, for the plants from which essential oils are derived have been used for thousands of years in healing remedies. When used with massage, the effects are increased due to the therapeutic benefits of the massage itself.

What are essential oils?
Oils extracted from the plants by various methods; their ‘hormones’ if you like. The oils have healing properties which, when entering the bloodstream, assist the body to heal itself, in a natural way.

Why choose aromatherapy?
Hippocrates believed ‘the daily use of aromatherapy oils and a daily massage is the way to health’ Aromatherapy is a safe and effective way of improving and maintaining your health, without the side-effects of modern-day pharmaceuticals.

How does aromatherapy work?
Aromatherapy is a truly holistic therapy, taking account of mind, body, spirit and lifestyle. It’s aims are not only to relieve and eliminate health problems but the prevention of disease and the promotion of healthy living. Essential oils have many healing properties including antibiotic, antidepressant, anti-inflammatory, antiseptic, antispasmodic, antiviral, detoxifying, diuretic, expectorant, hypotensive, and many more.

Aftercare
To maximise the effectiveness of the treatment, it is important to allow the oils to continue to be absorbed and to work within the body. Released toxins need to be flushed through the body, and your body needs a chance to get rid of them before you replace them with others. To encourage the natural healing process over-exertion is discouraged.

After massage, please follow the advise below:
